The Nido Kukuy Cushion combines joyful colours with intriguing hand-crocheted motifs. Its cotton cover is decorated with a fluffy, heart-shaped macramé detail, making the cushion an eyecatcher on any sofa or lounge chair. Sebastian Herkner designed the Nido collection after a visit to Bogota’s Museo del Oro, the gold museum, where he discovered Colombia’s ancient jewellery. The colour combinations are inspired by the hummingbirds Sebastian saw in the Reserva Entreaguas. Overall, the Nido cushion collection includes five motifs, available in various vibrant colour shades

Each cushion is made by hand in small workshops in the Columbia’s Reserva Enteragua region. The people living in this area of the Andes have kept the old crocheting techniques alive. Just the preparation of the cotton and wool takes up to three days, while the artesanos and artesanas – as the craftsmen and women are known in Colombia – need five days to make one cushion
