VISSERMEIJWAARD is a Dutch design studio specializing in product and scenographic exhibition design, based in Arnhem, The Netherlands. Creative director Vera Meijwaard, born in 1988 in Naarden, The Netherlands, studied product design at ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem. By playing with materiality, context, and scale and with a fascination for ‘form follows function’, she researches new applications for hidden aesthetics found in the everyday. Vera Meijwaard and Steven Visser design clear but minimalist products that play associatively with material, color, and form. The broad spectrum of their work ranges from furniture and lighting to textiles, ceramics, and glassware.
