In 2010, designers Alberto Sánchez and Eduardo Villalón founded MUT Design Studio in Valencia. Drawing inspiration from nature and everyday objects, they are known for creating contemporary design objects, including furniture, lighting and accessories with a sensual, emotional quality subtly influenced by their Mediterranean heritage. The work of the duo and their multidisciplinary team has been featured in all major interiors publications. They’ve won many awards, most recently a Wallpaper* Design Award, the Edida from Elle Decor Spain, and the BOY Award 2020 from Interior Design Magazine. IMM Cologne invited the studio to create the famous design pavilion ‘Das Haus’ in 2020.
